Guy Thwaites, MD, Imperial College, London, United Kingdom

I am currently a Wellcome Trust Intermediate Clinical Research Fellow at Imperial College, London. My research interests centre on the pathophysiology and clinical management of central nervous system infection, in particular tuberculous meningitis, pyogenic bacterial meningitis, and tetanus. These interests developed whilst working at the Oxford University Clinical Research Unit in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Before working in Vietnam I worked in general medicine, infectious diseases and microbiology at Guy’s and St Thomas’s and the Royal Free Hospitals in London. I qualified from Cambridge University and Guy’s and St Thomas’s Hospital, London.
