Jeanne Marrazzo, MD, MPH, FIDSA, University of Washington, Harborview Medical Cente, Seattle, WA

Dr. Marrazzo is Professor, Division of Infectious Diseases, University of Washington, Seattle. She is the president of the American STD Association, Associate Editor of the journal Sexually Transmitted Diseases, and Medical Director of the Seattle STD/HIV Prevention and Training Center. She serves on several national committees related to STD/HIV, and is the Protocol Co-Chair of VOICE, a large study evaluating antiretroviral pre-exposure prophylaxis administered vaginally and orally to women at high risk for HIV infection in sub-Saharan Africa and sponsored by the Microbicide Trials Network of the U.S. National Institutes of Health. Other research interests include molecular epidemiology, pathogenesis, and management of bacterial vaginosis, diagnosis and screening of chlamydial infection and epidemiology and management of cervicitis. She is also the Principal Investigator on several web-based educational projects on STD management and an interactive site on viral hepatitis. She is a Fellow of IDSA and the American College of Physicians.
