Learning Objectives:

This session is designed to review and gather input from IDSA members on three newly developed IDSA clinical practice guidelines: Streptococcal Pharyngitis, Leishmaniasis and Antimicrobial Prophylaxis in Surgery. At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:

  • review the draft recommendations for the management of Group A Streptococcal Pharyngitis
  • review the draft recommendations for the diagnosis and treatment of leishmaniasis
  • identify and select prophylaxis for surgery
