Learning Objectives:

It is assumed that participants know or are familiar with basic concepts in the recognition, pathogenesis, differential diagnosis, and management of infectious diseases. These skills will be challenged through a series of “unknown” case presentations in which the audience participants will be able to compare their case analyses to those of a panel of experts. At the conclusion of this session, participants, through observation and discussion, will be able to apply new skills in the approach to the analysis of infectious diseases syndromes as well as development of a differential diagnosis and a management approach for infectious diseases.
