At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:

  • discuss the efficacy of male circumcision as an HIV prevention strategy and the U.S. plan to scale-up medical male circumcision in high HIV prevalence countries
  • define next steps in research and implementation of PrEP and microbicides
  • restate knowledge of combination HIV prevention strategies
  • recognize opportunities and barriers to reaching the goal of an AIDS-free generation in sub-Saharan Africa
