Learning Objectives:

More than $290 million a year is spent on NIH AIDS Research networks, with each network completing major clinical trials each year. At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:

  • discuss the methodologies behind scientific findings from the networks based on multi-site collaborative clinical trials  
  • describe the past year’s highlights for research produced by the networks 
  • explain cohort research and identify the links between HIV prevention and HIV therapy research
