Bradley A. Warady, M.D. is Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine; Senior Associate Chairman, Department of Pediatrics, Director, Division of Nephrology and Director of Dialysis and Transplantation at The Children's Mercy Hospitals and Clinics. Dr. Warady’s clinical and research focus is chronic kidney disease, with a particular emphasis on peritoneal dialysis. He currently serves as Co-Principal Investigator of the International Pediatric Peritoneal Dialysis Network (IPPN) and the N.I.H.-funded Chronic Kidney Disease in Children (CKiD) Study. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the North American Pediatric Renal Trials and Collaborative Studies (NAPRTCS), Chair of the Pediatric Committee of the International Society for Peritoneal Dialysis (ISPD) and a Council member of the International Pediatric Nephrology Association (IPNA). Dr. Warady served as lead author of the recently published “Consensus Guidelines for the Prevention and Treatment of Catheter-Related Infections and Peritonitis in Pediatric Patients Receiving Peritoneal Dialysis” and he is a member of the faculty coordinating the Children’s Hospital Association’s SCOPE (Standardizing Care to Improve Outcomes in Pediatric End Stage Renal Disease) Quality Collaborative. He co-edited the books CAPD/CCPD in Children and Pediatric Dialysis and he has published more than 350 articles and book chapters.
