Kalpana Gupta, MD, MPH: Dr. Gupta is Chief, section of Infectious Diseases at the Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center in Boston, MA and Associate Professor of Medicine at Boston University School of Medicine. Her primary research focus over the past decade has been on optimizing treatment regimens and prevention strategies for urinary tract infections in women. She is Chair of the IDSA UTI guideline update committee. Her new research focus is evaluation of the prevalence and molecular epidemiology of MRSA colonization in the veteran population in order to enhance infection prevention efforts.
