Lilian Abbo, MD, Epidemiology and Public Health, University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, Miami, FL

Dr. Abbo received her Medical degree (MD) from the Universidad Central de Venezuela, Caracas, Venezuela. She completed an Internal Medicine internship at Jacobi Medical Center, Bronx NY, an Internal Medicine residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center, Miami Beach, FL, and a fellowship in Infectious Diseases (ID) at Jackson Memorial Hospital (JMH) and the University of Miami (UM). Dr. Abbo is currently an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine and core faculty of the infectious diseases fellowship program at JMH/UM. She is the Medical Director for the Antimicrobial Stewardship Programs at Jackson Memorial Hospital and the University of Miami Hospital. Her clinical and research interests include infections in solid organ transplantation and oncology, antimicrobial resistance and antimicrobial stewardship.
