Learning Objectives:

This interactive workshop will provide a review of two, 25-question IDSA Maintenance of Certification (MOC) modules and will allow attendees to earn 20 points toward American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) recertification. The discussion will consist of a review of each question and the right and wrong answers, accompanied by teaching slides for the 2011 General ID and the Non-HIV Immunocompromised Host modules. Following the workshop, attendees can upload the suggested correct responses to the online IDSA MOC platform and earn ABIM credit.

At the conclusion of this session, attendees will be able to:

  • discuss evidence supporting answer choices in 25 ID and 25 infections in the non-HIV immunocompromised host case scenarios
  • apply updated information to the management of common infectious diseases in various hosts
  • summarize new treatment and diagnostic strategies in common infectious diseases, including infections in the non-HIV immunocompromised host
