Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:

  • assess type, etiology, and grade or stage of wounds
  • identify common and uncommon presentations of acute and chronic wounds
  • apply techniques and skills that can improve wound care patients' outcomes (hyperbarics, biologic dressings, stem cell therapies, etc.)
  • identify effective marketing strategies to promote and integrate wound clinics into health care systems
  • use appropriate coding for evaluation and management (E&M) and procedural services rendered in wound care

Target Audience: members-in-training, infectious diseases physicians, hospital administrators, HIV clinicians, health care workers, fellows, clinicians
