At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:

  • list the epidemiologic features of Kawasaki Disease that are highly supportive of an infectious cause
  • describe recent advances in Kawasaki Disease etiology research
  • cite the standard treatment regimen for uncomplicated KD
  • name at least 3 optional treatment for patients who fail to respond to initial treatment
  • discuss the indications for anti-platelet and systemic anti-coagulation
