Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • evaluate components of effective antimicrobial stewardship programs
  • outline strategies for identifying and implementing process and outcomes measures
  • describe antimicrobial stewardship interventions for unique populations, including outpatient settings, neonates, and pediatric populations
  • critically assess available data, including pharmacy and microbiology data, and the informatics strategies needed to support antimicrobial stewardship in their institutions

Target Audience: pharmacists, infectious diseases physicians, infectious diseases pediatricians, infection preventionists, hospital epidemiologists, epidemiologists, academicians
