My research interests are in the immunopathogenesis of HIV infection and related opportunistic infections. My work primarily focuses on cryptococcal disease, and HIV immunopathogenesis in perinatally infected children and adolescents. I conduct most of my work in Zimbabwe. I received my MD from Harvard Medical School, and my DPhil in HIV immunology from the University of Oxford. I did my residency in internal medicine at the University of Washington in Seattle, and Infectious Diseases fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital.
