Sandra R. Arnold, MD, Le Bonheur Children's Hospital, Memphis, TN

Sandra Arnold is Associate Professor of Pediatrics and interim Division Chief in the Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis, TN. Dr. Arnold received an MD from the University of Toronto in Toronto, Canada in 1992. She completed her residency in Pediatrics and fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Diseases at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto between 1993 and 2001. She has been on faculty at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center since 2001. She is Medical Co-Director of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital. She is also Associate Director of the Pediatric Residency Program at UT in Memphis. She has conducted research in pediatric infectious diseases in the areas of bone and joint infections, pneumonia, influenza and appropriate antibiotic use in the community. She has authored several book chapters and is an ad hoc reviewer for many pediatric and infectious diseases journals. She is currently serving on a joint Infectious Disease Society of America and Pediatric Infectious Disease Society Committee to create a guideline for the management of bone and joint infections in children.
