Dr. Tamar F. Barlam is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Boston University’s School of Medicine and is a member of the Infectious Disease division at the Boston Medical Center where she directs the antimicrobial management team. She has almost 30 years of experience directing antimicrobial stewardship programs. She has engaged in policy/advocacy work at the Center for Science in the Public Interest in Washington, D.C. and holds a Masters of Science degree in health policy. She is co-chairing a national panel tasked with creating an implementation guideline on antimicrobial stewardship.
