Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:

  • assess type, etiology, and grade or stage of wounds
  • identify common and uncommon presentations of acute and chronic wounds
  • apply techniques and skills that can improve wound care patients' outcomes (e.g. hyperbarics, biologic dressings, and stem cell therapies)
  • identify effective marketing strategies to promote and integrate wound clinics into healthcare systems
  • use appropriate coding for evaluation and management (E&M) and procedural services rendered in wound care

Target Audience: Members-in-training, Infectious diseases physicians, Infectious diseases pediatricians, HIV specialists, HIV clinicians, Health care workers, Fellows, Clinicians, Academicians
