Learning Objectives:

This interactive workshop will provide a review of two IDSA Maintenance of Certification (MOC) modules. Patient Safety 2014 and General Infectious Diseases 2014, and will allow attendees to earn points toward American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) recertification.

At the conclusion of this session, attendees will be able to:

  • Summarize the ABIM recertification process
  • Discuss evidence supporting answer choices in 60 ID cases scenarios
  • Apply updated information to the principles and practice of hospital epidemiology, patient safety, infection prevention and anitmicrobial stewardship
  • summarize new treatment and diagnostic strategies in General Infectious Diseases
