Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:

  • describe recommendations for diagnosing and managing non-tuberculosis mycobacteria, based on best available evidence
  • discuss evidence-based recommendations for diagnosing and managing TB infection and disease in children in the US and abroad
  • discuss existing and changing challenges to global TB control and progress toward improvements
  • describe current TB control improvements in rapid diagnostics and new LTBI treatment strategies and associated challenges
