  • describe recent updates contained within the July-August 2013 PHS Guideline for reducing Human Immunodeficiency Virus, hepatitis B virus, and hpatitis C virus transmission through organ transplantation
  • discuss the active infections that preclude safe organ donation as well as situations where transplantation can be considered
