At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:

  • list epidemiologic factors that inform the choice of clinical management options for HIV-uninfected persons at substantial risk of its acquisition
  • compare strategies being used to engage STD and HIV treatment providers and clinics in the identification of PrEP candidates and their linkage to ongoing antiretroviral prophylaxis
  • discuss rapidly evolving antiretroviral HIV prophylaxis approaches and the roles of infectious diseases clinicians in their scale-up for population impact
