Summary:

IDSA guidelines state that early recognition accompanied by rapid diagnostic evaluation of the meningitis syndrome is critical. A patient perspective on recognizing signs and symptoms of meningitis will be presented along with a physician perspective regarding diagnostic challenges and how the BioFire FilmArray Meningitis/Encephalitis (ME) Panel may help overcome them.
