Taking the PICC out of OPAT: IV-free parenteral antibiotic administration

A new product is under development to subcutaneously administer antibiotics. The sc2Wear Pump is designed for convenient and comfortable, “IV-equivalent” antibiotic treatment, without a PICC-line. Designed for use by patients and lay caregivers, it has the potential to reduce the burden of treatment by avoiding PICC-line risks and treatment inconveniences while reducing the cost of care.
