Dr. Eleanor Adams is a public health physician at the New York State Department of Health. She underwent medical training at Harvard Medical School and completed her internship and preventive medicine residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center and Stony Brook University Medical Center. She received her Master’s Degree in Public Health from Columbia University and is board certified in General Preventive Medicine and Public Health. Dr. Adams currently serves as the supervisor of the Healthcare Epidemiology and Infection Control Program at the New York State Department of Health Metropolitan Area Regional Office, overseeing outbreak investigations in healthcare facilities in New York City, Long Island, and the Lower Hudson Valley.
