Lisa Davidson, MD, Division of Infectious Diseases, Atrium Health, Charlotte, NC

Lisa Davidson, MD, serves as the Medical Director of the Atrium Health Antimicrobial Support Network and as an attending Faculty Physician in the Infectious Disease Division at Carolinas Medical Center. She graduated from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in 1999. Dr. Davidson also attended Mount Sinai for her internship and residency in Internal Medicine. She completed her fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Tufts Medical Center in 2007, including a Master’s of Science in Clinical Research. She then served on the faculty at Tufts Medical Center, where her responsibilities included antimicrobial stewardship, treatment of patients with complicated wound, skin and soft tissue infection, transplant infectious disease, and clinical research in probiotics. Dr. Davidson joined the faculty of Carolinas Medical Center in 2012. In addition to serving as the Medical Director at Atrium Health, she fulfills a number of responsibilities including Antimicrobial Stewardship Project Champion for the Hospital Improvement Innovation Network (HIIN), Director of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Quality Safety and Operations and primary investigator for the Atrium Health Outpatient Stewardship Network. Dr. Davidson is currently serving as a member of the Society of Healthcare Epidemiology of America Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee.
