Sameer Patel is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Infectious Diseases at the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine He earned his medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago, was a pediatric resident at Komansky Children's Hospital of Weill Cornell in New York, and completed his Pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellowship at the Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital of New York. Dr. Patel also received a Masters in Public Health from the Mailman School of Public Health, Columbia University. His clinical interests include antimicrobial stewardship, multi-drug resistant Gram negative infections, and patient safety and quality.
