Bobbi Pritt, MD, MSc, DTM&H, Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN

Dr. Bobbi Pritt is a Professor of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology with joint academic appointments in the Divisions of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN. She serves as the Director of the Clinical Parasitology laboratory at Mayo Clinic, and is the co-director of Vector-borne Diseases Laboratory Services. Dr. Pritt graduated from the University of Vermont College of Medicine, and then completed a residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, followed by a fellowship in Clinical Microbiology at Mayo Clinic. She was hired on staff at Mayo Clinic after fellowship and then obtained a Master's degree in Medical Parasitology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a Diploma of Tropical Medicine from the Royal College of Physicians, London. Dr. Pritt shares her love of parasites through her weekly case blog, "Creepy Dreadful Wonderful Parasites" at http://parasitewonders.blogspot.com. Her academic interests include diagnostic parasitology, vector-borne diseases, and medical education.
