Jerod Nagel, PharmD, BCPS, University of Michigan Department of Pharmacy Services, Ann Arbor, MI

Dr. Nagel is currently the Pharmacy Lead for Antimicrobial Stewardship and Infectious Diseases at the University of Michigan Hospital and Health Systems. He directs the Infectious Diseases Residency Program Director and holds a faculty appointment as Clinical Assistant Instructor, and lectures for the School of Public Health, Nursing School and College of Pharmacy. Dr. Nagel graduated from Purdue University and completed his Infectious Diseases residency at Meriter Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin. Dr. Nagel is a national leader in antimicrobial stewardship, and has published extensively on antimicrobial stewardship outcomes, including rapid diagnostics. He is currently the president of the Antimicrobial Stewardship in Cancer Consortium, lead his institution be recognized as an Antimicrobial Center of Excellence by the IDSA, and is active within IDSA, SHEA, SIDP and TJC committees that help promote antimicrobial stewardship.
