The Stanley A. Plotkin Lecture in Vaccinology is presented
annually to an individual who has made significant contributions
to the field of vaccinology or areas of related science
that have impacted the lives of children and the specific area
of pediatric infectious diseases.

At the conclusion of this session, participants will be able to:

  • discuss vaccine hesitancy in the broader context of human thought patterns and belief systems
  • discuss how to engage stakeholders in developing strategies to improve immunization rates despite pervasive anti-vaccinationism
